Overview
This nine-day journey traces a sweeping arc through four of Afghanistan's most significant cities. From Kabul, the route crosses the central highlands to Bamiyan and the extraordinary lakes of Band-e Amir, then continues north through the Hindu Kush to Mazar-e-Sharif and the ancient ruins of Balkh — once called the Mother of Cities — before heading west to Herat, a historic centre of art, architecture, and Islamic scholarship. Designed for small groups of three to six, the journey offers a well-rounded introduction to Afghanistan's cultural and historical diversity, moving at a measured pace between iconic landmarks and quieter local experiences.
